Speaker Bios:

Schuyler Torney is a Strategic Workforce Planning Senior Manager for Vanguard’s IT Division. She is responsible for IT’s workforce development and location strategies. Schuyler has over 15 years of experience focused on talent attraction, development and retention brings a passion for building total talent and workforce strategies.

Chris Avenick is the Sr. Director of Technology at Infinite Blue.  He oversees the Engineering, Architecture, and UX teams, who collaborated to bring Infinite Blue’s new SaaS-based product, Cenari, to market. Chris has been at the forefront of Infinite Blue’s rapid growth, hiring and onboarding 35 new resources, on and offshore, in the last year. Prior to his position with Infinite Blue, Chris’s 20-year career includes service as Director of Platform Engineering at Frontline Technologies, the foundation of his own software development firm, and extensive dabbling with other startup ventures.

Bruce McMahon is the Chief Operations Officer of Think Company, a digital experience design company operating remotely but headquartered in Conshohocken, PA.  As the Chief Operations Officer, he provides executive leadership for Think Company’s research, design, engineering and project management teams. In addition, he oversees all internal operations including HR, recruiting and IT.  Bruce brings over 25 years of experience working for various digital design and development firms, including Refinery and Empathy Lab, providing delivery and operations leadership as they scaled towards their successful acquisition goals. 

Phil Yurko is the Vice President of Commercial Infrastructure at Vertex and is accountable for Vertex’s customer-facing operations, cloud engineering, user experience, and other shared services teams for Vertex’s engineering group. Phil has played key roles in organizational transformations, infrastructure automation, and cloud transformations for multiple companies. Prior to joining Vertex, he was a Director of Engineering and SaaS Operations at Finance of America and IBM Security, respectively.  He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
